Quintin’s Journey: From Searching to Purpose
When Quintin arrived at Star Gospel Mission, he was searching for footing—but discovered direction. Now celebrating two years free from addiction, his story reflects courage, growth, and God’s redeeming work.
“God changed my lens, transforming my relationships and view of life.”
Through the Pathways Transitional Housing Program, he committed himself to healing, discipline, and Christ-centered community. While navigating recovery and rebuilding his life, he reclaimed what once felt out of reach—preparing to earn his peer support specialist certification, securing reliable transportation, and being accepted to City Vision University, where he will begin preparing for a future as an addiction counselor.
As the first official graduate of Pathways, Quintin stands as a powerful example of what happens when guidance, accountability, and compassion intersect. His progress reaches beyond personal milestones, pointing instead to the Mission’s vision for lasting transformation.
What truly sets Quintin apart is his desire to give back. Having walked through recovery himself, he now chooses to walk alongside others—offering empathy, encouragement, and hope to those just beginning their journey.
His life reminds us that freedom is not a finish line, but an invitation. Through faith, community, and perseverance, broken chapters can give way to renewed purpose. Because of the faithful generosity of our supporters, stories like Quintin’s continue to unfold—affirming that restoration is real and calling can rise from even the hardest seasons.
