A Light for Her Path
World Homeless Day 2025
October 10, 2025 at the historic Francis Marion Hotel, a group of caring and concerned Charlestonians gathered to celebrate the work of Star Gospel Mission. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Palmetto Automotive Group, the group of over 300 enjoyed delicious Lowcountry fare, live music, great friends and inspirational messages from so many!
Weāre so grateful for Mr. John Nesco, who captured the evening through his beautiful photography.
If you missed this year's event, mark your calendar for next year on World Homeless Day, October,10th 2026.

Thank you from Reverend Dr. Marion Platt III, Executive Director
Friends,
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to all who joined us at our annual World Homeless Day event. We had an incredible time together as we lifted up Jesus and celebrated all the ministry that is taking place at Star Gospel Mission. I hope you left feeling inspired, informed and engaged to make a difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness, addiction, and hardships.
As I mentioned at the event, Iād love for you to attend an Open House to see our work up close and have time for questions and answers. Be assured that we can't do this work without you.
With great appreciation,
Rev. Dr. Marion Platt, III
