Weekend of Hope
Sometimes the most powerful moments come when we simply step away.
Recently, our Pathways participants were given that opportunity during a Weekend of Hope at Camp Gravatt in Aiken, South Carolina. Hosted by His Hands Ministries and led by Bill Matthews, the retreat created space for something deeper than routine…it created space for encounter.
Throughout the weekend, participants walked through the Stations of the Cross, reflecting on Jesus’ journey and the victory of the empty tomb.
Step by step, they were invited to not just remember the story, but to enter into it. To slow down. To listen. To see themselves within the grace of it all.
There were moments of quiet reflection and moments of shared laughter. Conversations that went beyond the surface. Time spent in fellowship, reminding each person that they are not alone in their journey.
In a world that often pushes us to keep moving, this weekend was different. It was a reminder that sometimes the “better thing” is not found in doing more, but in being present—with God and with one another.
And in that presence, something shifts. Hope feels closer. Healing feels possible. And the path forward becomes just a little clearer.
We are grateful for partners like His Hands Ministries who help create these sacred spaces where lives are not just supported, but truly transformed.
